• the only one that comes unlocked is the one from the Google store. The one best buy has is locked to their network.

• It will yes. The only ones that are unlocked are the phones offered directly through the Google Play store.

• Yes, the Verizon branded Pixel does come with a locked bootloader. Only ones bought directly from Google don't.

• Yes it does. The Verizon model has an encrypted and thus locked bootloader.

• i read an article on xda a day ago and it said that this phone might not be bootloader unlockable. a lot of carriers have pretty much stopped the ability to unlock boot loaders and such..[verizon, att]. only reason someone that would want to unlock bootloader is to root and run custom roms. simple answer don't purchase carrier locked down phones. you'll be happier with an unlocked unit.
