Questionthere are conflicting answers as to whether the verizon model will be locked or not. purchase would be at full retail obviously

- Answer I really cannot believe the amount of people who will answer questions but have ABSOLUTELY no idea what they are talking about. Here it is, plain and simple. You can buy this phone, pop in any SIM from any of the major carriers and it WILL work, period. The phone only comes with 3 apps from Verizon and they are all user removable, Period. The ONLY difference between this version and the Google Store version is the bootloader. The Verizon version is locked and the Google Store version is not. If you just plan on using the phone for day to day use and not planning on installing custom ROMs you will be fine and have no idea what a bootloader is. Chances are every phone you have ever used or purchased had a locked bootloader and you had no idea because you never cared to install any custom ROMs. This is the answer, this is the real answer and something that ANYONE can find using a very basic tool called Google Search.

- Answer Sadly me too. I'm pretty disappointed in Best Buy and Google. A pre-order use to mean you were guaranteed to get the item the day it released. unfortunately now it doesn't mean that at all, actually no idea what a pre-order means.

- Answer The short answer is no. Verizon has an exclusive as a "retail" partner from a carrier perspective. Obviously you can get a Pixel at Best Buy which is another retailer but you can add this phone onto any carrier. Things to consider: If you buy it from Google, the phone is unlocked and available at full price or through financing. You will get the security and OS updates from Google. If you buy it from Project Fi, it is also available unlocked despite the Fi sim at full price or through financing. You will get his security and OS updates from Google. If you buy it Verizon, you can buy it on contract, full price, or through financing. If you buy it from Verizon, Google will handle the monthly security updates but Verizon will handle the larger OS updates "in partnership" with Google. (This sounds like a repeat of the Galaxy Nexus.) But the bootloader is encrypted and the phone is unlockable.

QuestionDoes your Best Buy Pixel phone have the Verizon crapware on it?

- Answer It doesn't. Per previous nexus phones, it depends on the sim card installed upon first boot. If you have the verizon sim card (it comes preinstalled) it will download just 3 apps, @@however they are uninstallable@@. If you remove the verizon sim card, and use another sim (the phone is sim unlocked by the way) from another carrier and turn it on, it will not download the 3 verizon apps.

- Answer I called Customer Service and was told it could take up to 30 days to receive the $100 e-gift card. I was told this is a new policy, because they don't want anyone getting the gift cad and then returning the phone.

- Answer yes it does and if you're a google subscriber, you wont even need that much, and RAM is what it is on all google phones, no exclusive changes that

- Answer You can do an early upgrade which depends on how much you currently have left on your phone. There are two options usually one is a pay off (pay off the remaining balance of your phone) or a pay up (a set fee verizon has to upgrade specifically). These are the only ways to upgrade before may 17th.

- Answer Yes you can speak in the phone while searching the web. The phone also has a "WiFi Calling" setting so you can make phone calls over WiFi if you have spotty service at home/work

- Answer Hi there, first of all i doubt using a knife to open a new phone that u don't know how to turn on was a smart idea.... I'd send it to the place u bought it from in that case it being best buy, i guess u can give it a try and send it back or take it to geek squad at ur near by best buy.. but then again if it turns out to work ur responsible for the scratches... Good Luck

- Answer The Pixel device can be used on any carrier as it has a SIM card. Verizon is the only carrier to offer the Pixel through their stores, but you can definitely use the PIxel at T-Mobile if that is what you are seeking to do. T-Mobile is currently offering some promotions for doing this as well.
