Will it work with mobile data instead of internet? I do not have access to internet where I live, but I have an unlimited data plan on my phone (android). I also do not have mobile hotspot. However, I have a modem and a wifi router (again no internet). Will chromcast work for me? I will I be able to watch netflix or youtube on my phone, and mirror it to my TV?

I don't understand exactly what you're asking. How do you not have hotspot but you are using data for internet? If you are using your phone to give internet to other devices, this is hotspot. If you are using the mobile data on your phone to run applications on your phone, this is not hotspot. Is this what you mean? You cannot plug chromecast into your phone. Chromecast plugs in via HDMI connection. Cell phones don't support this capability. You need access to wifi or hotspot, and a TV with HDMI input to use Chromecast.

You will be able to cast the Netflix onto your TV using your cell phone data internet. Depending on the speed of your data will determine how good it runs. Hopefully no buffering.

Try this - MHL phone to HDMI TV adapter
with the adapter if you have Samsung - without the adapter for MOST other phones.. if you have Windows phone let me know as they have a special one ..

No it runs through the same WiFi. But for some reason it works like trash. I don't suggest buying it

As I understand it, it will work with smart phones, they have app just for that so you can send the movie from phone to TV screen.

4G seems to work whereas 3G not so much keeps buffering
