It's a wireless router. One is plugged into your ISP modem, and the others act as wireless bridges that extends your wireless coverage. They all talk together in a Mesh network. So far my system has been solid with awesome coverage and speed. nice features with parental control too. Combines 2.4ghz and 5ghz to a single SSID which is nice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a hub for a mesh network. Not an extender and not a separate access point. Yes you can plug it into a LAN (or not) and it'll configure to your mesh network as long as you have one hub plugged into the modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can plug any one of the three units into your internet connection. It functions as a range extender with the remaining 2 units but has one network rather than multiple and the signal is stronger between the units as they work as one system
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a wifi router. You will have to setup the wifi name / password and connect each individual additional wifi module to create the mesh network. It is relatively simple and the google wifi app will walk you through it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's sort of both working as one. One access point is used as the main router hooked up to LAN from the modem. Use the app to configure everything else...simple.
