“I am moving to a home that is over 4,500 sq ft, which is the largest sq footage recommended for the 3 pack option. Would I be able to purchase an additional connection point if needed to cover the entire home or is 3 the max?”

Google says they recommend a maximum of 6 access points on a single mesh network, and that you could cover up to 9,000 sq ft with six access points. (https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/7182840?hl=en)

How many walls/floors between the devices, what's on the walls (e.g. sheetrock, wood, or tile), etc.? But you can start with the three and add more wifi points depending on the setup and the coverage you are getting. The app makes it really easy to add more points even after you set up the first three. My advice would be to start with the three, test your coverage, and add more if needed.
