I first tried a Range Extender with my AT&T WiFi, it didn't help at all. If you have a large house you should go with the Google Wi-Fi System. The 3 units give me a strong signal over my entire house (3,500 sq. ft.). Also recommend you take advantage of a free in-home consultation from the Best Buy Geek Squad before you spend hundreds of dollars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I previously had an extender and found that the Google Wifi was a huge improvement. The extender would only relay the signal at the speed received, while the Google WIFI product provides a consistently strong signal throughout my entire house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I love my Google WiFi. It's really consistent with speed, and has a decent area range. I've owned mine for 2 months now and have zero regrets. I use mine for school, streaming, and online games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried extenders, and they either didn't work, or had significantly slower speed. I really didn't want to spend over $200 for a router, but I work at home, and it has made a major difference in my network performance, I can work (or stream music or video) anywhere in the house or yard, and multiple users simultaneously streaming are no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought this several weeks ago & my husband installed it in home & shop, with very little difficulty. Thus far we're pleased with its performance & have experienced no problems. Appears to work well with our wifi (through local phone company, not Verizon.) Although we do have our cell phone service through Verizon, am not overly familiar with the Verizon product you're inquiring about. Unfortunately we really can't adequately compare the 2 products for you. We can simply say that we're pleased thus far with the performance of this system. 'Hope this helps a bit!
