Yes! That is the main intent of a MESH network. You have 3 pods - one you place by your modem, and the other 2 place at other locations in your house. The one that is connected into the modem then transfers the wifi signal (it won't be 5g, but as fast as it would be using your wifi near your modem/router) to extend the signal to dead spots in your home. We have a 2 story and the kids always complained about our wifi dropping in their rooms and the wifi being really slow. Since I set this up, I haven't heard one complaint. But, if you get 1GB speed, you may want to look at the Eero - still a MESH network but my understanding is it handles faster speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you place all three throughout your home, spread out following the directions, it should get you a way more even coverage of your Wifi and better speed like you were right near the modem.
