These devices require the wall outlet on order to be powered fully. As far as I'm aware there isn't a desktop app, although you can use a Google nest hub or nest hub max as well as the Google home app in order to control them. You will require the phone app in order to configure them however you need.

They are not POE and must be plugged into the wall using the included power supplies.
