“My gopro hero 13 black is new and works great. I put this floaty on and the orientation changes upside down and backwards. It will do vertical but that's it. The camera works normally once I remove it from this floaty. Any clue what's up with that?”

That's odd. Maybe you're accidentally pressing the screen and hitting the orientation settings while you're putting the camera in the Floaty. If you can reset the orientation settings from the menu once the camera is in the Floaty, that may take care of this for you.
