• it most certainly can be used snorkeling. Take a look at the GoPro Fusion 360 Users group on Facebook. There are lots of folks that have uploaded snorkeling videos...

• "Technically" it's capable of using while snorkeling but when I tried with mine, it overheated within 8 minutes and turned off. I thought it was actually broken because it wouldn't turn back on but a few hours later it resumed working and still had 45% battery. Overall, I would say don't use it for snorkeling because it's not reliable.

• Definitely good for snorkeling, since you mostly skim on top of the water. It is waterproof to around 16ft. Unless you're a pro free diver, you should be okay with the average snorkeling depth

• No, you could bring it snorkeling as it can be submerged in water up to 16' in depth and snorkeling stays on the surface.
