“Firmware Updated, SD Card from recommended list and formatted via SD Card tool. This camera does nothing but lock up or not turn on at all. If it records, the minute you push the button to stop it freezes. Any suggestions?? GoPro support is trash”

Try doing a manual update on the firmware if you can instead of an update from the app. The manual update puts the firmware directly on the SD card, which is a great way to make sure the full update installs. Also, try using a different SD card if you can. Even recommended and formatted SD cards can have issues, so trying another card is good way to troubleshoot if the SD card is part of the issue or not.
