All of the GoPro's use the same mounting hardware so it doesn't matter which one you buy, they are all compatible with the handlebar mounts. You would purchase a handlebar mount separately. Many combination mount kits include several mounts including those for handlebars. The other question is do you need to see what you are shooting or just want to point it forward and record? If you think you need to frame the shot first, then get a model that has an LCD. Otherwise the base Hero would be fine for just point and shoot.

This specific one has 1080p and 720p in various frame rates. I like the video quality on 720p, and I can't tell the difference between both. The way to mount it is to get a sticky pad for your bike or helmet, then the camera mounts on that pad through the use of a bolt that holds the camera securely to the sticky pad. Be aware that this camera does come with mounts that can be used to stick on any surface. So you may NOT have to buy anymore mounts/sticky pads.
