“Worth it? I am struggled on which GoPro I should purchase: the HERO+LCD or the original HERO. Although I will only be using the camera for vacations which will involve snorkeling and swimming, I'm wondering if the HERO+LCD is worth the extra money.”

Its nice to see your picture or video view before the moment is over. You could have your finger in the way and not know it because it has such a wide angle lense. Also, nice to see whats on there for deleting unwanted shots or video.

Please try again later.I think it's worth it to have the LCD screen so that I can see what I'm filming and also I can review film footage before I get home to download it on my computer to check it out. And of course the quality is supposedly better which I think on the hero plus LCD the quality is amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say buying the HERO+LCD was worth the extra money. I don't know if it's only for a limited time, but mine came with the case, 32 GB memory card, and a Shutterfly book. I thought that was a very big plus.

I ended up buying the LCD version because it works with the App so you can view the videos without using a computer. Also, it makes taking video and pictures better because you can see what is in the frame. The extra price bothered me a bit, but I think it was worth it in the end. There is much more functionality with the LCD screen. Best Buy had a great package deal that included a case and a 32G MicroSD Card which made the extra cost for the LCD version a little more palatable.
