• If the lighting is bright and attached to a player, but a camcorder would beat it, at the perspective of a spectator.

• There is very little zoom capability. However, the video is excellent. If you are trying to record a basketball game sure, but a specific player probably not. My iPhone is much better to take pictures/video of my daughters soccer games.
