What I do, which may feel like a lot more work but really isn’t, is I take a lavelier mic and connect it to my iPhone and record it separately. That way you can move freely. And then in editing just match up the audio to the video. Pretty simple.

A:AnswerThey offer a suction cup mount you can place anywhere on the car, I actually just just a simple solid mount and mount the GoPro on any of the windows. You will also have to think about wind noise so if you buy a wind cover or put it in a dive case it’ll help. I also mount it on the rear under my spoiler where wind doesn’t hit the camera and it records the exhaust noise perfectly!
