You should be able to reset the HERO7 Silver by pressing and holding the Mode button on the side of the camera. After about 10 seconds, it should reset. Freezing is often linked to errors in the firmware on the camera or may be linked to the SD card being used in the camera. After restarting the camera, try doing a manual update on the camera's firmware. You'll find those instruction on the Updates page on the GoPro site. There is also a list of recommended SD cards on the GoPro site.
