• yes -- see my review, and youtube videos from BCPOV. While never ideal riding with a gimbal on the chest -- along with use of the extender ($99) you can use the karma gimbal and put the grip handle in your backpack, along with an external battery for 8+ hours runtime, depending on your memory card.

• Yes it can. There are mounting rings that will allow you to connect the Grip to other mounts like the Chesty or the Seeker backpack.
