• No, using anything without the original battery door takes away the waterproof seal. Media mod requires you to remove it.

• Sorry, but the Media Mod is not designed for underwater use. When the HERO8 Black is in the Media Mod, the side door of the camera must be open to connect with the Media Mod, so the camera would not be waterproof in this setup.
