• This case will NOT float the camera - it will protect it from water leakage at depths greater than 30ft (for divers). You will want to get a "floaty" back door for this case (if they make one yet).

• This case won't float by itself. There might be floaties available as for the Hero 4 or you can use that one too. Though with a floaty attached to the back door you won't be able to see the screen any longer. This case is used as the Hero 5 no longer comes along in a underwater case as for its precedessors. If you just wanna jump into the water or do some snorkeling the Hero 5 is now waterproof down to 10m or rougly 30ft. If you are into diving this is what you want to protect your GoPro from the pressure in the abyss.
