Yes it will work for YouTubing, it does record in 4K just remember 4K does take up quite a bit of space on SD card so you may wanna pick up a extra one while ya there, the cable you use to charge the go pro is usb on one end and connects to go pro with the other end, I just plug go pro in on the one end and connect the usb end to the TV and/or my lap top, also down load the go pro app to your phone and u can wirelessly transfer anything/everything from your go pro to the app. Hope this helps you, the go pro is quite a bit of money but I’m completely satisfied I have mine mounted to my fishing kayak and it works awesome, def a plus that it’s water proof out of the box and voice activated.

If you are looking for a GoPro camera that can record in 4K, take a look at the HERO8 Black, the HERO7 Black, or the HERO7 Silver. They all can record in 4K and would be great for creating videos for YouTube. All GoPro cameras include a cable that will allow you to transfer your photos and videos to your computer. For a live view on a television directly from the GoPro though, you'll need to use a separate HDMI cable. The HERO8 Black (when also used with the new Media Mod) and the HERO7 Black have that option.
