Only the steering stem folds down & the seat is removable. But it's flat enough to bring onto a transit bus without the seat without the rear basket mounted and the steering stem folded down. Somewhat heavy at 43 pounds. I'm able to put it in my Kia Soul with the seat & rear basket still on and just the steering stem folded down
