First turn the scooter on, enter the default password 000 (or current password), then hit the power button 4 times, change the password, and then hit the power button 2 times to save. To turn the password mode off, turn the scooter on, enter the password, and then hit the power button 6 times quickly. To turn the power mode back on, hit the power button 6 times again.
