“Noticed a plastic smell first couple of times I used this air fryer. Could you burn off plastic smell by turning it on without no food in it? Would this be ok?”

• Make sure you washed the unit by hand prior to using. This might help with the smell. I would also check that there isn’t any plastic hidden from the packaging. After a few uses if it still smells I would contract the manufacturer.

• Yes there is a smell after the first few uses but it goes away. I suggest adding a little water in the pan before use.

• I have only used mine a couple of times, and the very first time I turned it on without food and I haven’t noticed a plastic smell since.
