Unfortunately not. GTA online is not Cross Platform and also not Cross Version. The GTA Xbox One version and Xbox Series S/X version are two different games and operate on two different servers, so no you can’t play with your friends, however the GTA Xbox one version is available on the Xbox Series S/X so if they purchase that version then yes you can play together.
