No, you cannot use an 80V battery with this tool or charger. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another.
**There are a few exceptions.
Our 80V 20” snow thrower models (2600402 / 2605202 / 2601302) manufactured prior to September of 2017 can only use 2Ah or 2.5Ah battery models.
Our 80V chainsaw models: 2000002, GCS80420, 2000402, GCS80450, 2004202 and CS80L01 can only be used with a 2Ah and 2.5Ah battery.
Our 60V 8Ah battery model 2957102 cannot be used in the following tools: any 60V 12" Snow Shovel, any 60V 22" Snow Blower, any 60V Tiller/Cultivator & any 60V Lawn Mower.
