I had to rest it on the floor and push the battery in with my foot. That finally got it to click.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless there is a issue with the locking mechanism, it should go in . I’ve found with the blower and mower , you almost have to slam the battery into place . It’s spring loaded to keep pressure on it to help keep the battery in place .
