• A:Answer Hello Joe. The trimmer head already has the spool wound but it does not come with an extra string package. The extra string must be purchased unless stated in the product title/description.

• A:Answer No problem with the battery. I've used Greenworks tools for many years with multiple 80V batteries and each still works great. I did have notice that older batteries (like 8 years old) hold the power less time than when was new but all of them still work as expected (I have total 4 x 2A batteries).
