We had this issue as well. Holding up the battery latch and pulling battery out… you really need one more hand to hold blower in place to pull up on the battery. My husband and I did rogether (4 hands) but we also tilted it on side and let gravity do some work. There is a push button area on the battery where is sticks out of machine. You will see it as it is a different color area on battery. You can push down on that part and pull it out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's surprisingly a tough push on the green lever lock release. Push it down towards the battery and it unlocks. About 8-20lbs of force I'd guess. The leaf blower battery lever is much easier to release.

To remove the battery from the blower, you will locate the release button near the battery compartment and press and hold the button down. This will eject the battery from the lock position and you can remove it from the unit.
