“What does "additional fees apply" mean? Your product says, additional fees apply. Why or what does it mean. Does it mean that the cost doesn't include the actual cost to e-file the return? Do I have to pay more besides the cost of the software? I understand that I may only file 1 state return and that I have to pay 19.95 for each additional state return, but I really would like to know what "additional fees apply" I would like to purchase your product, but I need to understand what it includes. I'm confused. Please explain.”

Federal e-files are included, state e-file fees are not. That's probably what was being referred to.

If you want to e-file your state return, then you have to pay the additional fee. Also, if you need to file more than one state return, then you have to pay a fee to get the download for another state (1st one is free and included).
