• Yes. It will ask you if you want to efile or print your return to mail it.

• The program does not file anything automatically, i.e. without your direction / permission. At the end of preparation, you always have an option to print all completed forms, and file via mail. Note that some states have been discouraging its filers from taking this "paper route."
