• There is no separate e-file code required. The activation code you use to unlock the product unlocks your 5 free federal e-files. If you are also using an H&R Block state tax program, that is not included as a free e-file. The is a $19.95 cost (I think) to e-file your state return. This is from the H&R Block web site product info: The H&R Block Activation Code is used to register your software and unlock your five free federal e-files. I hope this helps.
