I received an email from HR Block about the software for this year. When looking at their email it said it requires Windows 8.1 or 10 . My computer has Windows 7 - I've used the HR product for at least 10 years. Can I use this product with Windows 7? null

It said the same thing last year. A computer geek I know said it would certainly work. I had the disk. It loaded up and worked with no problems .

Unfortunately no.  Windows no longer supports 7 so our software is not compatible either.

I don't have a direct answer. However, Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7, which means no more security updates. For something as important and private as tax returns, I would strongly suggest updating to a current Windows release. My guess is that HR Block (and other software companies) won't worry about Windows 7 compatibility any more since Microsoft has let it expire.
