  • QuestionWhat is the minimum and the recommended distance from the bottom of this microwave and an electric cooktop so that the heat from the cooktop does not cause any damage to the microwave. Thank you in advance

Since cooktops may vary, we do provide the minimum distance from the bottom of the cabinet the microwave is installed under to the top of the cooktop, which is 30".     • Answer Hello. We appreciate your interest in this microwave, and our Chef Connect feature! We know that option to synchronize your microwave with your range can increase your convenience. Unfortunately, while the microwave has features like Built-in WiFi, scan-to-cook technology, etc., this particular Haier model does not feature Chef Connect; we regret any inconvenience this may cause, but that feature is present on select GE Profile and Café appliances.   • Questioni needed for microwave and convection oven purpose, can i build into a cabinet since i do't need vent?

    • Answer Hello- We appreciate you checking with us and are happy to help! According to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which approves appliance installations, you cannot use an over-the-range microwave on the counter or in a shelf. Besides not being approved for this installation, these microwaves don't have feet and are also often slanted (not level) on the bottom. Additionally, if the surface lights or vent fan were to be turned on accidentally, it could cause damage to the shelf or microwave.
