Does this fridge use 20 AMPS of power constantly? null

Hi there, thanks for asking! The running amps for this model is 3.0 amps. This unit needs to be connected to a 115 Volt AC, 60 Hz, 15- or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply. This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits which could cause a fire hazard from overheated wires. You would not be able to run this unit at 20 amps as this would cause the breaker to trip and power to be stopped to your fridge. Hope this helps! Best wishes. -Michae@Haier
