We follow AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) standards for measuring capacity. AHAM develops and maintains technical standards for various appliances to provide uniform, repeatable procedures for measuring specific product characteristics and performance features. The fresh food has 11.20 cubic ft. and the freezer is 5.56 cubic ft. Note: We cannot provide specifics of how to calculate the cubic footage of our appliances as there are various technical factors involved. Additionally, the industry standards can and do change over time. We use the Department of Energy's federally mandated method for determining refrigerator, refrigerator-freezer, and freezer capacity. If specific information on how cubic foot capacity is calculated, we recommend contacting AHAM.
