“It says minimum window width Is 36" yet unit is only 19" wide. Is this an error? I have. 22" window that I must find a unit for.”

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, this unit will not fit your window as the accordion panels on each side have a minimum of about 2 ¼ inches on each side. With that said, your window would need to have an opening of at least 25 inches for it to fit properly. Now, we do have other smaller models, that will fit however, they have a lesser BTU (5,000) so depending on the size of your room this might not be powerful enough. How big is the room you are trying to cool? The model you are looking at is 8,000 BTU, comes with a remote control and is Energy Star rated. With that said, we have these 2 smaller 16 ½ inch models, however these models have differences from the one you are looking at. HWF05XCP – Not Energy Star Rated and does not come with a remote control HWR05XCP – Not Energy Star Rated but includes a remote control Both of these units measure 16 ½ inches wide and with a minimum of 2 1/4 inch accordion curtain on both sides, it will be a tight fit, but it can work. But again depending on the size the room these smaller units may not be suitable.
