There seems to be a default setting. I have decreased it and increased it. When I go to use the toaster again, it reverts to the default setting. Caveat: I have not referred to the user manual to see if there's a way to override the default setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's factory set at four. I'm not sure if you can change it but hitting The button is relatively easy. It's not a smart toaster so it may not have the capacity to remember the previous setting.
