“Are the slots wide enough to accommodate "pan-style" bread, which is shorter and wider (longer) than a normal slice of bread? I'm not referring to the thickness.”

• The pan style bread is about 5" wide so the slot needs to be wide enough to fit that.

• When the toaster is depressed down for toasting, the inside mechanism comes together and measures 3/4" in width. The length, ( top of toaster to bottom) once depressed covers about 4 1/2". Front of toaster to back measurement inside handles bread about 4.5 to 5". Hope this helps.
