- Answer Slow cookers are like eyes on your stove. They heat up at slower rates depending on which setting you have them set to. When set on KEEP WARM your slow cooker will maintain a temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. When set on LOW, your slow cooker is designed to reach 140 degrees in four hours. When set on HIGH, it will reach 140 degrees in two hours. The maximum temperature your slow cooker will reach is 225 degrees. The temperature of your slow cooker, like your stove, depends on how long it has been on and to what setting it is on.
