Well, you don't need filters. It has small washable gold filter for ground coffee, plus different piece for a tea bag or soft coffee pod.

It has two metal mesh filters - a paper filter would not be needed, but my single-serve Melitta filter does fit in the 2nd basket. Have not tried it though.
