First check to see if the radio stops on fm and am station when you seek on the radio 1. If it stops at all your local stations but no sound... then it’s an amplifier problem 2 it it doesn’t stop then you probably have a problem with the European antenna adapter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not an issue with your radio but more or so with your vehicle. I own a used Mercedes dealership, and this issue is common on a lot of E-Class models. Mostly seen on the W211 Chassis (2007-2009 models). It can be a few things. The most common causes is a short in the auxiliary input, and the electrical connectors behind the radio not being connected properly or stripped. Make sure you check your cars connection between the radio and the connectors. Me and my technicians have also seen cases where the wiring behind the radio just gets worn out over time and is due for replacement. These Mercedes where made at a time where Daimler Chrysler was trying to cost cut as much as possible and unfortunately this resulted in electrical issues due to poorly made wiring. Of course all of these issues have been addressed now. I personally own an 2007 E550, and I had this exact same issue. But mine was faulty connections because something came unplugged. Have a mechanic diagnosis the problem first if you’re unable to do it yourself. I hope my knowledge helps!
