• A:Answer JBL is owned by Harmon Kardon. They’re both the same brand but JBL is considered more fun/party centric while Harmon Kardon is considered more of a luxury brand. This speaker is Harmon Kardon.

Q: QuestionHow does this speaker compare to the Onyx 4. I love the Onyx 4 especially for the bass, but they are now failing. Do these new Onyx pair with the HK Connect App to listen in stereo sound? If so, anyone know the ease of use? Thanks!

While our HK Onyx Studio 4 is compatible with the HK Connect App for stereo setup, our HK Onyx 7 has a Wireless Sound feature which allows you to connect two Onyx Studio 7 speakers together for a more powerful listening experience that doesn't need an app. You cannot connect the Onyx Studio 7 to other Onyx Studio speakers such as the Onyx Studio 6, 5 and 4.
