You may be misunderstanding how the HDHomeRun works. You plug it into your antenna, and you can store it and your antenna wherever you want. Then the HDHomeRun streams Over the Air TV to all the devices in your home, like your iPad or iPhone or if you had a Fire TV or Android set top box. All you have to do is install the HDHomeRun app.
