• Yes. There is a VGA connection located on the back of the TV. You could also connect it through HDMI if your MacBook​ supports HDMI.

• Yes. HDMI display or HDTV: Use a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter to connect the HDMI display or HDTV to a Thunderbolt 3 port on your MacBook Pro. If you can split the screen in the MacBook Pro, you can also split the external screen, as that is a capability of the software and video card in the computer and it can be done in any monitor. Now, this is a 720p monitor and for connecting a computer it will be much better a 1080p TV.
