I am unable to find any physical manual control buttons on the TV. Powering up and transition between viewing options, volume, etc., are all managed by the remote control. The remote communications sensor is located on the center of the TV, at the midpoint and extends less than 1/2 inch from the bottom of the TV. Whereas the manual indicates the dimensions without stand is 16.9", I would suggest that with the remote sensor you might want to allow 17".
