A:Answer Part of the problem is your phone is incredibly outdated and lacking the newest features/updates. Newer Android devices have casting features built right in. You'll also need an adapter of some kind, specifically, a micro-USB to MHL adapter (allows the phone to output video/audio IF it's capable of doing so).
It'll be the cheapest, easiest, fastest way to connect your phone to the TV. The phone will handle the internet portion, the TV will merely replicate the audio and video signals from the phone via the cable.
