• FMZP, I have mine hooked to a FIOS set top box through connection HDMI 4. But, just to satisfy yourself I would try them all to see which picture you like the best. I believe somewhere in the comments section there is a message response from Hisense recommending the correct HDMI port for certain connections. Hope this helps.

• The input number doesn't have anything to do with picture quality - they all operate the same. They are numbered so that you can select them on the TV (So, just remember which number you plugged it into so you can select it later, and you'll be fine)
