“Is the sound good or do you need sound bar or surround?”

• I believe the sound is fair. I mean its not theater surround sound quality but better than most television.

• I purchased this for my aunt (43in). The specs seemed to me to be good for good sound. So once I set it up I haven't listened to it much and my aunt does not like a loud sound so sorry I can't be of much help. But I guess the answer is somewhat subjective. One thing I do to get good sound, if its just for one person, is to use a headset. Very good sound that way.
