Yes it can, if your happy for a little work around. Using the roku app on IOS or Android, you can use headphones mode. This brings the TV audio to your phone. If you have a Bluetooth speaker connected to your phone, the sound plays through that speaker. The app also allows an adjustment of upto 500ms of delay. I found 300ms to be perfectly in Sync and get some better sound.
