“We have cable straight from the provider/wall (coax cable), we currently have several tvs without a converter box and work fine. Will this television work with our cable provider without any additional set top boxes?”

Our cable provider requires the cable box, so ours is connect via the boxes. With our sets, none will work w/out them. Not sure if this helps, but this set will not work with Charter cable unless it goes via our cable box. Perhaps others have more experience to share.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what cable co. you're with. It should work, just be neat at opening the box in case it doesn't work. Just pack it up take it back. I don't have cable anymore, just an antenna. But I know with Armstrong cable it would work without a box. It's a great TV. The color and picture are fantastic. Sounds good too. It's better than my top of the line samsung

This 4K HDR TV has built in free TV with amazing graphics also when we plugged our cable wire directly to TV the setup was fast and all the channels with a -1 where HD and looked better then the older flat panel models.
